Special Challenge

For the Run Berlin special challenge you are required to beat the world record marathon time set by Eliud Kipchoge of Kenya on 16 September 2018 in Berlin. Luckily for you, over a half marathon distance. The time you need to beat in both of your half marathons is 2 hours 1 minute and 39 seconds totalling a 4 hour 3 minutes and 18 second marathon. By completing this challenge, you will get a true sense of the almost superhuman achievement this was. Every time you fail to defeat his time, you have to remember Eliud Kipchoge would have not only beaten you, he has just run twice the distance you have! You don’t have to do this special challenge and is not required to obtain your Run Berlin Silver medal.
